Built-in AI

Face recognition and PPE detection — out of the box.

No add-ons, no separate analytics server, no extra licenses. The intelligence runs on the edge and in your cloud from day one — so your cameras don’t just record, they understand.

Face recognition

Match faces across every camera, tell regulars from strangers, and get alerted on the people who matter — with the clip attached.

PPE & object detection

Flag missing hard hats, vests, or masks for site-safety compliance — plus people, vehicles, and objects — detected automatically, no setup.

Search by what it saw

Because detection happens automatically, every event is tagged and instantly searchable — find the moment in seconds instead of scrubbing hours.

More detections ship every release — all included, nothing to bolt on.

The monthly tax

Paying every month for footage you never watch?

Security video is insurance — you only look at it after something rare goes wrong. Yet the cloud bill arrives every single month, per camera, whether you touch it or not. You bought the cameras. You shouldn’t have to rent access to your own footage.

The old way

  • Locked into a multi-year contract
  • Per-camera cloud fees for 24/7 video you rarely open
  • Switching means ripping out and re-installing everything
  • Your footage lives on someone else’s terms

The Cube Cam way

  • Self-install in minutes — no contract
  • Cloud recording, or record to the camera — your choice
  • Runs alongside your current system — nothing to rip out
  • They’re your cameras, on your cloud
Why Cube Cam

Cheap that actually works.

The hook is the price. The reason you stay is that it just works — and once it does, going back costs more than staying.

No contract, ever

Month to month, your cloud on your terms. No multi-year lock-in, no early-termination trap. Leave whenever you want — you won’t want to.

Keep your cameras

Use the Axis Cameras you already own. Nothing to buy, nothing to replace — just add the app and connect.

Nothing to rip out

Install it next to your current system and run both. No downtime, no gap in coverage, no risky cutover weekend.

Cloud recording, your call

Turn on 7‑day cloud recording when you want continuous footage stored off-site — or keep it on the camera and store just the events that matter. You choose per camera, and only pay for what you use.

Find moments, not files

Smart events and AI search surface the clip you need in seconds — people, faces, and activity — instead of scrubbing hours of timeline.

Backed by Cube Access

Built on the same cloud platform that runs Cube Access’s commercial access-control deployments. New brand, proven engine.

Best on Axis

Every camera works. Axis works hardest.

Cameras from Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha, Bosch, Reolink and more connect straight to your cloud — so whatever you own is welcome. But Axis Cameras run apps on the edge, so on Axis, Cube Cam runs right on the camera and does its detection there. If you bought Axis, you bought the best hardware for this. All that’s left is the cloud, and you can add that yourself.

Runs on the camera

Cube Cam is an ACAP — an app that runs directly on your Axis Camera. Detection happens at the edge, so only what matters travels to the cloud.

Install it yourself

Install it from the camera’s own interface and claim it with a code. No technician visit, no professional commissioning, no invoice.

Records to the edge

Continuous recording stays on the camera’s SD card. The cloud is your index and event store — not a meter running 24/7.

On Axis, most modern models with an SD card and ACAP support run the on-camera app. Other brands — Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha, Bosch, Reolink and more — connect over the network. Check yours.

Security & trust

Your footage, locked down.

Video is sensitive. Cube Cam runs on the same cloud that powers Cube Access’s commercial deployments — encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored on enterprise infrastructure, not a spare server in a closet.

AWS Cloud

Enterprise cloud, not a spare server

Your events and recordings live on Amazon Web Services — the same infrastructure that powers much of the modern internet — with durable, redundant storage. Backed by Cube Access.

Encrypted in transit & at rest

Video is encrypted on the way up and while it’s stored. Only you and the people you invite can see it.

No open ports

The camera connects out to your cloud — no port forwarding and no inbound holes in your firewall.

Durable event storage

Every event and its metadata is saved redundantly in the cloud, so you keep it even if an SD card fails.

You own your data

Your footage is yours. Keep it, export it, or cancel and walk away — no contract, no lock-in.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

How do I put my Axis camera on the cloud?

Install the Cube Cam ACAP on your Axis camera straight from the camera's own web interface, create an account, and paste your claim code into the app. The camera binds itself to your cloud — no port forwarding, no technician, no new hardware. Most cameras are live in a few minutes.

Can I use my Axis cameras for cloud video without a contract?

Yes. Cube Cam is self-serve and month to month — no multi-year agreement and no early-termination fee. You keep the Axis cameras you already own and add the cloud yourself, on your terms.

Do I have to cancel my current VMS or cloud service?

No. Cube Cam installs side-by-side and runs alongside whatever you have today. Keep both running as long as you like, and cancel your old per-camera bill only when you're confident — on your schedule, on your terms.

Will it work with the Axis cameras I already own?

That's the whole idea. If your Axis cameras support ACAP apps and have an SD card, you can add Cube Cam yourself — no new hardware. Tell us your models and we'll confirm.

Is there a contract?

No. You sign up directly, install it yourself, and pay month to month. No multi-year agreement and no early-termination fee — your cloud, your terms.

Where is my footage stored?

You choose per camera. Important events and their metadata are always saved durably in the cloud, so you keep them even if a card fails. Add the Cloud Recording plan for 7-day continuous footage stored off-site, or stay on Cloud Monitoring and keep continuous video on the camera's SD card to skip the 24/7 cloud bill. Either way, you pull any clip on demand.

How much does it cost?

Two simple plans, per camera, billed monthly. Cloud Monitoring is $7 per camera and includes live view, face recognition, and events in the cloud. Cloud Recording is $12 per camera and adds 7-day continuous cloud recording on top. No contract and cancel anytime — sign up and add cameras yourself.

Who is behind Cube Cam?

Cube Cam is built by Cube Access, which runs cloud access-control and video for commercial sites. Cube Cam puts the same proven cloud engine in your hands — self-serve, cameras only.
